There is nothing fun about awkward situations.
Do you talk to fill the silence or do you just go with the flow?
And what is the actual time to break the ice? So typically I would just sweep the situation under the rug and move along. But what happens when one day the dust under the rug becomes a mountain and it cannot be hidden anymore?
If Minnie had looked into a crystal ball she would not have been prepared for the shock that she felt. Probably shock was an understatement.
No one in the neighborhood could escape those cute little girls. Everyone on the street had seen Sally,Minnie,Frankie and Jade perform their cute dance routine the popular songs on the radio. So it was no surprise when E.S entertainment signed them on as the next big girl group.
Sally had always been dramatic even causing the whole crew to stare at her when her shoe came of during rehearsals.
Yes! She was that dramatic. So taking the path of an actress in addition to group activities was quite natural.
But after a while the media begun to draw her as a solo act and made huge assumptions of her role in the group.Sally was a sweet girl who loved her members as her sisters so there was no truth in the news. But during interviews the reporters kept asking unnecessary questions that made everyone uncomfortable.
The girls however never really sat down to talk about this issue and how to calmly disperse the rumors. It built up to the extent that the media begun to accuse the other members of excluding Sally for group outings. The girls had won the award for the best international act and girl group of the year. As they went up to receive their award Jade almost tripped on the train of Sally’s gown.
“Do you have to cause trouble here too?” Jade exclaimed at Sally. The whole auditorium was silent as they stared at the nation’s favorite girls. As the leader, Minnie knew that this was the end of their group. No one would buy into the bond of friendship they had worked so many years to build.
Sometimes it is better to face issue head on than to sweet talk your way through it or ignore it totally. A bottle full of fizz would explode one day.
Sweet talking definitely means nothing in the end. It may ease the pressure now but it will definitely come back to haunt you in the end.
Is there thing you sweet talked your way through that had and interesting effect in the end? You can share your story with me.
Till my next explosion…bye Darlings!
